The Grind was born out of a love for coffee — and the desire for a different kind of atmosphere.
As we scoured Columbia for a good Cup o' Joe back in 2016, we noticed that all the local coffee shops were concentrated downtown; there were none on the South or North sides of town. We wanted to fill that void.

Our hours have been thoughtfully chosen to accommodate the neighborhood's night owls — open as late as midnight at selected locations. And, we extend our hours even later during finals week!
